1) I think they're broadly reliable, but I don't agree with the numbers they give for casualties, because I don't think there's any way to know without body counts, which can only be done by the army. I have the same opinion of their estimates of people killed by Rojava in Raqqa.

The overwhelming majority of civilian deaths in Raqqa were caused by US artillery and airstrikes according to every source that reported on civilian deaths, not by Rojava.

1) Wrong, it's well-documented that the Kurds were calling down airstrikes by US planes. It's not even controversial, the US military openly admits it.

2) Which is a philosophy I think is fundamentally self-defeating.

3) Understandably, Turkey cares not only about its civilians being killed, but also its soldiers and policemen within its country.
