Iraqi authorities say at least seven more people were killed in clashes between protesters and police in eastern Baghdad on Sunday, bringing the death toll from nearly a week of anti-government rallies throughout Iraq to more than 100 with thousands of others injured.

Protesters, who took to the streets on Tuesday frustrated over joblessness and corruption, have been met with live ammunition from security forces attempting to break up the mass demonstrations that have convulsed Baghdad and parts of southern Iraq for days.

So far, 104 people have been killed and 6,107 have been wounded in the unrest, according to figures released by Iraqi security officials. More than 1,200 security members are among the injured.

Hello. So. I have seen Twitter post after twitter post about this, but there is something going on in Iraq Clearly. Innocent protestors getting hit by snipers (Disturbing video), live bullets, et cetera. I do not know what is going on in Iraq exactly, but it seems as if this is what happened last year. Iraq are going to Twitter hashtags while rest of the world is seemingly glossing over it.

There are also rumor circulating that Iran has something to do with this.

Oh also, There are also kids flossing during the protests. It seems interesting that very few people are covering violence, but I have been made aware of it.

I didn't know widespread civil war is considered an improvement. Saddam was a terrible person but iraq wasn't as much of a shithole as it is today. Now the streets are full of debris, houses lay in ruins and there's still armed conflict

Most of what I see going on in Iraq is chaotic, eerily similar to things I would write for my own nation. Compared to Hong Kong, which the protestor seem to know what they are doing, this seems grassroot, unorganized. Most of The Twitter feed is full of the same graphic violence, snipers targeting protesters, etc.
