It leans toward evil.

Like anything else involving humanity. That doesn't mean it doesn't have a purpose that can be productive.

They really aren't much different functionally, the only difference is scale.

That's extremely important. The second people become atomized (which happens in mdoern states) decline begins.

The atomization is due to loss of moral center, not the nation-state.

The atomization is due to loss of moral center, not the nation-state.

And that loss of moral core is because of industrialization and societies built on "large-scale" as opposed to community-scale.

What's wrong with larger-scale societies anyways? Do you think they lack cohesion? And I'd say that industrialisation, for all of the heavy setbacks caused by it, has overall led humanity into the greatest path ever in history, even with all the problems we are facing right now. There is also the Enlightenment which brought about civil liberties and such into the fold.

All in all I think that electricity is a major point. It has become a major asset and is crucial in nation development nowadays for nation's like the UK US and others. However it is possible to survive without it it just makes life harder.

Theoretically, warlords could solve the coordination problems without disruption of the tribal society.

Im sorry but I would all just like to point the elephants in the room.

We have an Indonesian Prince among us: Samudera Darussalam.

And the Vice President of a International Fraternity: Totally not OEP.

Instead of being stuck-up ignorants, we should acknowledge these people.

George III honestly had the right idea when it came to constitutional monarchy (his involvement in the America debacle aside).
