I've asked this before, but feel like asking again. Do you live in a city, rural area, or suburb?

I live in the downtown area of a large city.

Depends on your definition. I live within the city limits of a large city, but not in the core densest area of the city. It's almost like a smaller city within the city, with its own little downtown area and things.

Some cities are so big that the neighborhoods within them feel like their own cities.

I remember I had to live in Brooklyn one summer, and it really didn't feel like I lived in New York. It felt like I lived in Brooklyn. It was fun though.

There was no difference here between our history and theirs in the broad sense. Things didn’t begin changing until after 1942, with the main difference being a later, and bloodier, Philippines campaign starting in 1946 and ultimate independence achieved in 1948.

I obviously have favorites I incorporate, if I can, into my maps but I always temper it via the overarching scenario and by maintaining a firm attachment on realism. For example, this map came about from that talk about the IJA closing the Pacific Lend Lease route here a few days ago and grew from that. I will saw that all of my scenarios are explicitly or implicitly more Right-Wing than ours.

Some of us, me included, have often talked about how incredibly dumb Washington was in how it conducted the Vietnam War. Classic examples were the refusal to enforce a blockade/mine Haiphong harbor despite all the Soviet munitions coming through it while another was LBJ ordering the Air Force to not attack North Vietnamese MiGs unless they were in the air; this led to cases where MiGs would be loaded up and sitting out in the open, but our boys just couldn't hit them. Outside of the strategic level, there was numerous elements of sheer dumbassery at the tactical level. I was watching this clip from a History Channel documentary, and found out during the Battle of Hue our buys weren't allowed to use heavy artillery even when assaulting a Communist occupied Fortress, nor were they even legally allowed to fly the American flag. Imagine a U.S. Marine being wounded two, maybe three times and having several of his buddies bite the bullet to then get told by some fuck he can't even fly the flag he's been bleeding for all over Hue City.

Pretty much the entire city is under siege by the Sinaloa Cartel after the Mexicans arrested El Chapo's son. The Mexicans are so god damn incompetent and cowardly they actually let him go to try and get the Cartel to stop but it's still a warzone as far as I know.

I'm becoming more convinced of OEP's ideas that we should turn this into an actual war and wipe the cartels out via direct military intervention.
