Okay, so I have a general "layout" of how some of North America circa 2525 looks.

Stretching from the mid-Atlantic to the Great Lakes and even into southern Ontario is the Greater Pennsylvanian Hive ("Hivers"), a collectivist nation under a system of "bureaucratic despotism"; the ruling ideology of the Hive is somewhat inspired by pre-Cataclysm Mohist thought, with order exalted as the highest good and the state revered as if it were a benevolent God. Aside from their ideological zeal, the Hive is also notable for maintaining an industrial economy on par with the early 20th century, fueled in large part by the coal reserves of northeastern Pennsylvania as well as by hydroelectricity from Niagra Falls.

The lands formerly known as the midwestern and southeastern United States are a lawless sort, with allegiances and borders seeming to fluctuate wildly by the day. Life here is nasty, brutish, and short compared to life in "civilized" regions, but people get by nonetheless. Settlements in this region tend to be small population-wise, with most villages being dedicated to agriculture. Although the devout folks of these parts have a strong sense of community, an unpleasant aspect of life in the midwest is the presence of raiders/warlords/scoundrels, and as such most honest midwesterners tend to be somewhat wary of outsiders.

The largest of the new civilizations of post-Cataclysm North America is easily the Imperium of Tejas, which I've already covered.

I'm gonna do the West Coast (including Kowani's faction) as well as non-national factions (such as the Militant Orders of Louisiana and other such), but at a later time I guess. Maybe later this evening, I dunno.

Although health is important I do not think banning certain foods in a reactionary manner is the solution.

The real solution is encouraging general health, financial and other incentives.
And have much improved PE, health education and ROTC programs.
And bring back conscription.

You can be healthy and drink Coke and eat Twinkies.
