Are we not gonna discuss how Jenny just popped into Forrest Gump's life, infected him with AIDS, and left him to raise a child on his own?

Qanon has nothing to do with this. Krugman is just another elitist creep.

The Imperium of Tejas is a decentralized, largely agrarian (cattle ranching is a major industry, in particular) state with a distinctly Hispanic cultural paradigm, perhaps akin somewhat to pre-Cataclysm Mexico. It is easily the largest of the new nations of Notth America, at least by land area. The technological capabilities are roughly on par with “Renaissance” era Europe.

Ruled by powerful clans(=familial rather than territorial subdivisions) united by shared faith and allegiance to the Emperor, absolute monarch and defender of the faith?

Yep, pretty much. They do their best to preserve and sustain the traditions of pre-Cataclysm Catholicism, to reasonable success.
I may return for somewhat longer than I was initially expecting. Why am I here? No idea whatsoever. I really ought to find some way out of this place.

Also, the NS stats don't reflect my RL views, just to clarify.

I have discovered a rather disturbing trend. I was watching a program and it seems we are no longer allowed to question whether being fat is a good thing. These tear down the norms folks have really done a number.

She was. Forrest deserved better. And in the book it's also made explicitly clear that the child is not actually Forrest's biological child. The movie did a lot to make Jenny better than how she was in the book, where it's obvious she's just using Forrest.
