May you elaborate as to why you’re laughing at me? All I did was state who I supported in the 2020 election.
I may return for somewhat longer than I was initially expecting. Why am I here? No idea whatsoever. I really ought to find some way out of this place.

Also, the NS stats don't reflect my RL views, just to clarify.

My biggest complaint with Yang is that while he is a forward looking person who actually is concerned about things like automation his solution is just "lol here have a little bit of money while the capitalist class becomes wealthier and more powerful than at any time in history".

I have zero confidence in the current political class actually doing anything more than lining their pockets and manipulating public opinion to do more of the same. I see elections as little more than an entertaining show of professional clowns and charlatans.

Seeing as how it looks like the DNC is going to be nominating grandpa Joe, Trump's bound to win. Never mind all the trumped up scandal's and opposition, I think he's done a great job as president so far.

His expansion of domestic petroleum drilling has contributed hugely to America retaining it's position as the world's largest producer; got rid of the individual mandate; deregulated certain parts of the Dodd-Frank act, and though I didn't agree with everything he did there, he did help out local and regional banks and credit unions a lot; signed right to try into law; his success's in tackling the opioid epidemic; Taking the fight over trade straight to China; his hardline stance against North Korea; his expansion of the military; moving the embassy to Jerusalem; and his heavy handed enforcement of our immigration laws.

Stuff off the top of my head.

He's not perfect, but he's a fantastic start! Now we just need someone who is more socially conservative and woke about cosmopolitan capitalism.

Yeah it's always our fault. While we have our issues, including but not limited to the complete abandonment of Christianity in favor of secularism and becoming an arm of liberal politics, it wasn't our leaders raping kids.

The Anglican Church is just as implicated in the child sexual abuse scandal as the Catholic Church is. I think one CoE diocese in Canada even went bankrupt from all the compensation it had to give to victims of abuse.

And it’s not like the 1000 different offshoots of Protestantism that you have in America are any better. Even if they’re not abusing children, it’s just megachurches filled with people on mobility strollers donating their life savings to Pastor Hamburglar so that he can buy his sixth McMansion.

As far as the last part, there is a ton of variety within Protestantism in the US. Protestantism is not EXCLUSIVELY those commercialized prosperity theology mega churches you describe, although said churches do exist.

Your average Episcopalian (American Anglican) church is completely different from your stereotypical Evangelical prosperity theology mega church.

Of course not church is free from problems. One is not necessarily measurably better or worse in any objective way.
