No, I'm serious. Jesus became famous by capital punishment. Maybe making martyr is a good thing.

Does every thread turn into Jesus with a gun and a grenade?

I wanted to discuss corporal punishment - the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful.

I believe that punishment should serve to deter crime. Punishment should be so severe that crime is unthinkable. I'm no advocate of maiming or removing limbs or anything like that, but a good ass whipping is just what alot of criminals need.

Dunno, didn't he get caned like 25 times? I think that would deter me from spraypainting cars.

Can't we just tattoo the convicts crimes over and over again on his/her skin until s/he repents?

I also am not in favor of taking it easy on criminals. I am very pro-death penalty in murder cases with irrefutable DNA evidence or the testimony of two or more credible eye whitnesses. I am anti-insanity plea. If you're so crazy that you like to cut people up and eat them, there's really not much use for you on this planet.

But that leaves a permanent scar, or marking... something like that, on their body. I don't think I want to go that route.

What's with this post review thing? It's annoying.
