This is my first time making a topic. I want to ask everyone to please share their personal views in a respectful, civilized way. There will be people who disagree with you on police action.

On Thursday, September 24, Hyattsville police were called out to an emergency situation with an African-American man who had previous aggressive behavior. He had returned to the location and was threatening others with a pair of pocket knives.
Twenty-eight minutes elapsed on scene as officers used nonlethal methods to disarm the man: Three Tasers were deployed, Pepper spray, a bean-bag shottie, and finally a flash-bang grenade. Ignoring all attempts, the man eventually charged the supervisor on scene and was quoted saying "I embrace death" before being gunned down by the officers.
With these facts in mind, I believe that the officers on scene had exhausted their options and reasonably eliminated this threat to the public. It is regrettable that the man had to die, but these situations occur.
What are your thoughts? I am unfamiliar with Maryland law, or the department's enforcement regulations, so if anyone has experience in those areas I appreciate your comments.
