You know education isn't something that has to be done within a specific schedule and that one doesn't forever lose the opportunity if they miss that window? One can always finish their education later. But how do you know that is even an issue? Maybe she's studying at home or taking online classes. Maybe she read a few books on that boat trip.

Protesting is education though. And its especially beneficial for political and civic engagement and knowledge. And given how Greta already knows so much about climate change at such a young age, among other subjects, I am not particularly worried for her intelligence. And I am sure that even you understand that participating in climate strikes does not immediately destroy your career or education for that matter, especially if your performance was already top-notch to begin with. Not to mention that forcibly blocking her from staging these strikes would violate several articles of the U.N. Convention of the Rights of the Child, such as the right to association, the right to free conscience, and the right to expression.

I may not belive, that global warming is some sort of "Ahhh, we gonna die, we gonna die!" class of threat, and entirely human fault (it's still may be unpleasant in some regions, especiually with scarcer water resource). After all, nature got some sort of cycles and so on. (Even if all the climate change stuff is somehow all just a hoax, we still should reduce all that pollution. Somehow...)
