I've actually been thinking a lot lately about the answer to a related question: what I'd do if I had infinite money, or at least so much it would never be an issue for me. I'd move onto a really cool RV/houseboat combo and just start cruising the world, probably never spending more than a week in the same place. I'd get it set up nicely with a bunch of records so I could listen to music, a collection of clothes that would probably be ever-expanding as I picked up cool T-shirts from around the globe, and a telephone so I could call up all of my friends I'd made in other countries (for example, keep in touch with my friends from Japan while island-hopping around India, or chat up the nifty chick I'd met in Brazil after a long day of hiking in Mongolia, et cetera). If I happened to find my true love while going from country to country in search of good scenery, good food, and a good time, she could live in my extremely-mobile home with me and we could continue trotting the globe forever, or until we mutually decided to settle down somewhere.

I'd give money to my family, buy a nice house with a lot of land, establish a real estate business, get a good stock broker and invest, build a good portfolio, start up a large scale marijuana farm, maybe open up a couple restaurants, and then pursue my own varied personal interests, and manage my businesses. (learn to fly a plane/buy one, learn to para-glide, buy one, learn to sail, buy a sail boat, sail around the pacific, etc. etc.) I'd also possibly open up a homeless shelter and soup kitchen to feed and shelter the poor and homeless, but only if I were secure in my businesses and finance.
