So this happened.

I am not quite sure of China's claims of him smuggling ammunition but let's humor China for a second and think, what does this mean for relations between China and the U.S?

Let's look at this from a different perspective. An American citizen is now being held against his will in a foreign country. Think about it that way and it is just like, "Oh shit."
