Nope nothing automated.

Welp, time to dust off the ol end mill and lathe.
Hell, I'd teach anybody else on how to use an end mill and lathe thusly increasing the number of people in the knowledge of cranking out home made firearms.

Making weapons wasn't hard prior to the industrial revolution. A random source suggests a rifle during the revolutionary war was about 2 british pounds.

https://ancientfinances.com/2021/06/16/ ... vel-times/

Plugging that into an inflation calculator from 1776 until 2021, you get 228.85 pounds.

https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/monetar ... calculator

Google says 1 british pound is 1.21 US dollars, so that's $276.91 USD.

Which... is actually less than what rifles cost today.

Cost does not mean much in the face of availability.
Then, just as now, England was not in the business of allowing its subjects to buy guns.
Even in the case of colonial militia who were typically obligated to provide their own arms and ammunition, the old feudal standard of only those who could afford to arm themselves were ultimately allowed to do so was the paradigm of the day.

Colonial governors were very capricious with their gun policies and were not shy about confiscating weapons and redistributing them to better favored subjects.
As it would turn out, precious few colonial Americans possessed a firearm at the onset of Revolution.

Thank you - I'm not that much of a history buff.

But if many colonial governors were capricious with their gun policies, it makes sense why they would write the right to keep and bear arms into the constitution.

(British policies pre revolution also explain the 3rd amendment really well)

New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

Yes, but mass production and use was largely a result of European influence.

Japan also never allowed a gun culture to develop, their rulers feared being overthrown enough to take away the lower classes' ability to rebel early on. Japan was first place in the world to implement gun control if I'm not mistaken. From 1685 onwards, when guns still weren't as capable as now. So there is relatively low supply of guns which exist in that country. Hence fewer incidents that could conceivably happen with firearms, unless its the police/state doing the atrocity. Most of the guns that could be confiscated or destroyed in Japan have been already.

Their laws on firearms use are oppressive enough as to be unreasonable in most other places, but the Japanese appear to just accept it as the price for maintaining a low gun violence/pacifist country. Their current laws flat out say: "no person shall possess a firearm or firearms or a sword or swords." So anyone within Japan that does- has privileges they jumped through many hoops to get.

That's not Maryland becoming pro gun that's them being forced to accept guns. There is a difference.

Not to mention even using it as a computer can kill people if you hack into something critical and do something bad.
