They were regulated in 1934, and NEW automatic weapons were banned in 1986. The murder that was committed was committed AFTER the 1986 ban on new automatic weapons, and it was committed by a police officer in Ohio.

No, they weren't. Bump stocks are still one bullet per trigger pull. A bump stock just makes it easier to pull the trigger faster. And it's not foolproof either.

Should also just be common sense- if it's not humane to hunt with an AR-15 because the AR-15 is not powerful enough, and you need a significantly more powerful round like, say, .308 Winchester or 6.5 Creedmoor to take Deer or Elk, how could it be that the AR-15 would be powerful enough to "explode" human bodies?
