That’s fairly cheap, as lawyers go.
Someday I will get Chuck back for this.

Also, I find it suspiciously convenient over these last two shootings, with a slew of anti gun bullshit bills languishing in the senate, it's enough to make my spidey senses tingle.
As if any party in power knows what's best for us, they only care about their own interests and/or power. Dems take guns, GOP takes voting rights, they both should be toppled.

You guessed it: Coloradans. Ban them!
Interestingly enough while some were going off on their "white supremacist/white privilege" and other racist diatribes along with other woke bullshit we have a surprise. 21-year-old Ahmad Al Issa is the shitbrick that did the deed.
Also to add.
18 shitbrick state AGs are pitching a fit like an epileptic in a strobe light factory and demanding that dipshit "I can walk up stairs" biden ban 80% completed receivers. How can it be a receiver if it isn't complete? Also shitbrick lacks the authority to ban by diktat as that would take a rewrite of legislation in congress.

Howdy there! I have something to remind you about. Remember how social media collectively banned and silenced the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES? Yeah. I'll believe what you just said when I see it with my own eyes.

What rules on their site did he clearly violate? Does Twitter's TOS state "You may not be the president of the United States and state your views to a mob outside the U.S. Capitol"? Besides, a lot of times accounts are not straight-up permabanned on social media, they get a warning or a temporary ban. Even the posterchildelderly man of the left Bernie Sanders didn't even feel comfortable with such an outrageous move...Kernen wrote:Believe it or not, the president doesn't have an unlimited right to use somebody else's property or ignore their rules. Ah yes, this argument. What if they banned a politician you liked? What if they banned your favorite artist? What if they banned YOU? Why do social media and tech giants who control the majority of our access to the internet and information get to determine who speaks and who does not?!

Doomer hours. I avoid mainstream media but the imageboards and forums I browse I have experienced bans (including permabans). It's a sort of learned helplessness that you aquire.

I literally would not care. Websites and social media sites are private property. You get to set your own rules and enforce them just about any way you please.

Oh don't get me wrong I don't even watch/read the news any more, and I stopped using all social media a very long time ago. I have lost all hope in the mainstream media.Kernen wrote:I literally would not care. Websites and social media sites are private property. I find it hard to believe that you wouldn't bat an eye. Furthermore, when the majority of the nation's people are using a handful of tech giants' property, how is it fair that they deliberately shift the narrative in favor of a particular bias in order to affect the people OUTSIDE of their property and domain to ultimately destabilize our cultural climate with hyperpolarization, going so far as to suppress the most powerful individual in the world (at the time)? Instead of focusing on facts, social media and news media on both sides of the spectrum focus on political bias and narrative. This is not acceptable. It isn't subjective, it is factual.
Anyways, we're getting off the topic of the thread so that's the last I will say on it.

Boulder Colorado banned guns back in 2018
The NRA managed to overturn this ban 10 days before the shooting
The shooter bought his gun 6 days before the shooting.

It is different when it is a public service. Imagine none of the sewage companies providing service to drain your sewage tank. Sooner or later it will be a public health hazard. (the private property in this case is the sewage truck and Treatment plant.)
Legally it's probably not a difference.
