You gotta make risky moves to earn high profit.
Because sometimes even national leaders just want to hang out

In 1991 everyone knew Bush was going to be reelected in a fourth consecutive Republican landslide.

And you know that for sure how?
Would you like to bet money right now? Right this second?
P.S Is gambling kosher on NSG? I don't think so, so officially this is merely an ideological challenge to Vass as to my confidence regarding Trump wiping the floor with every candidate except Sanders.

So you're bullshitting then? Since explaining your rationale doesn't actually need you to be putting your chips down.
Greater Cesnica wrote:Look I love Gabbard and Yang. The reason I don't believe they'll get the nomination, much less get the Presidency, is simply because both the Democrats and the United States as a whole is not ready for them and their ideas.

Frankly, they're both not nearly as good as their opponents at communicating their vision. I understand they both have one, but when Gabbard continues to drone about regime change wars (a topic where I understand her viewpoint but hate how she talks about it) and Yang does his whole socially-awkward-nerd-talking-down-to-you thing, that doesn't inspire a whole lot of excitement about their campaigns and ideas.

Oh fuck me.
Gabbard and Yang do not have ideas that are able to impactfully reach the majority of Americans. Sure, they're able to shake up the Democratic primary field, but forget about the centrist and Republican vote. If Biden gets the nomination, which is the most likely outcome besides Warren, then he will get pushed over by Trump, who will use his familiar bullying tactics to win the hearts and minds of his grassroots support base. Same case with Warren. As for Bernie, he has a slim chance of topping Trump due to his common-sense left-wing populism. But through Fox and CNN's combined smear campaigns, this seems more and more unlikely. Which leads to a second Trump term.

I would love to go back to 1991 and tell people that the war winning president with an 89% approval rating from that party that had a "lock" on the electoral college would be beaten badly by a moderately-at-best known governor from Arkansas.

I mean Trump's bully behaviour has kind of damp squibbed with all three of them so far.

Isn't said base shrinking precisely because this behaviour is a turnoff?
Unfortunately, no. Spending a decent amount of time on the underbelly of the internet really gives one a perspective on things. Essentially the exact lack of mainstream support for Trump coupled with online support for him is starting to repeat itself now in 2019/2020.

So because r/the_donald says his base is still the biglyest?
Greater Cesnica wrote:Vassenor wrote:
My point stands. Your evidence that his base is stilL YUUGE is that the echo chambers say so, apparently.
It's not just that. There has been a populist resurgence across world. Nationalism has now become a mainstream ideology. This is not hard to see, not by any metric.

And this proves that Trump's core base isn't shrinking how?
[looks at all the candidates he's endorsed who've gone on to lose bigly]
