Damn we should start doing this. The large TX-13 district North of me could be "Panhandle-West North Texas". TX-3 and TX-4 to the East could be "Plano-Northeast DFW" and "East North Texas" (or "Northeast Texas" since I'm not sure if it'd be considered all in North Texas or just the northern part of East Texas).

Also, they have large minority populations, and these minorities are marginalised by the current system. Poverty breeds crime, as does systemic racism that keeps minority groups from getting ahead.

I just gave the answer as I saw it, I don't think that just being in a minority group makes you more prone to crime, I live in a similar rural community that's almost entirely white, and we have a lot of crime ourselves.

We have quite a few thefts, assaults, and drug possession and manufacture charges in this part of Illinois, it's about 25 miles north of Peoria. True, we don't have gangland murders, but we don't have the same issues that lead to gangs forming.

I live in one of the safest parts of Texas and those are insanely common here as well. Those "lesser" crimes happen all the time and are why only violent crime is used to identify safety.
