Most non trump republicans became independent, but are still republican, Biden is the only hope.

We have big problems, but right now, trump is the biggest one, if only because we can’t fix anything with him around.

Not everyone from a single party is the same. Doesn't do good to put people into groups. Yah know what I mean ? :)

But if Bernie Gets the nomination than republicans can play to the fear of “the socialist bogeyman!)

Sure, but who's to say that that will work?

Oh no don't get me wrong if I get the idea that Sanders isn't doing good I'll probably use one of those off-shore betting sites to bet on the election, and I'll put in a $5000 pot for Trump. Doesn't mean I like the guy.

Think of it like a Rubix cube, to get to the end goal, you gotta short term not go in a straight direction.
Idk, just can’t. Let. Trump. Win. I’m already trying to envision what a 2020 2024 president will look like. He’ll be immune even from impeachment, pardon all those people, hell, he might do martial law.

Postponing sanders for 4 years to save the country “now” Isint that more important ?

Doesent the have to be someone experienced to pick up the pieces before we go in a new direction?

Sanders has been politically active since the Civil Rights era, has been a member of both houses of the legislature. Prior to that he was ranked one of the best mayors in the United States and the city he presided over remains one of the most livable cities in the country. He has been in the legislature since 1988 where he has taken up leadership roles despite not actually joining the Democratic party until 2016 to run for president.

Say what you want about Sanders, but to suggest he doesn't have 'experience' is to abuse the word.

I mean it’s much more complicated than that but what do you mean design ?

Dumb or intelligent ?

Like did it evolve, just that’s what it tends to or was there someone sitting in a dark room stroking a cat ...

It's an easier sell, especially if you're trying to brand yourself as a 'moderate' or a 'centrist', to pitch it as an even divide where the two 'poles' battle it out for the 'reasonable' middle on equal footing. It's a narrative, and narratives don't require masterminds or persian cats.

To not use that system means opening up a much more complicated system that not all could follow. Also, if enough people believe so thing for enough time, it becomes that ...

It's astounding that some people have still not snapped out of the Buttigieg hype. And even if they snap out of it today, it shouldn't have taken this long.

His followers all follow a certain trope, anyways. Upper-middle class, white, lives in a gentrified neighborhood or suburb and drives a gas guzzler but still considers themselves "eco-friendly." Probably only listens to NPR and Ellen.

I mean, I'm no Buttigieg fan, and have become more opposed over time, but it seems silly to suggest that it's all hype -- there is a constituency for articulate but vaguely defined liberalism.

Your second mistake is not looking at history beyond the last few decades. The idea that a "centrist" is necessary to win in modern times in the US is a result of Bill Clinton's successful campaign to finally break the conservative dominance of the Reagan/Bush era. There have been plenty of Americans one could consider "crazy left-wing extremists" of their time throughout US history that the people have looked up to from Ben Franklin to Thomas Jefferson to Eugene Debs to Huey Long to Franklin Roosevelt to Martin Luther King Jr to Bernie Sanders. Changing times create changes in politics.

P.S Is gambling kosher on NSG? I don't think so, so officially this is merely an ideological challenge to Vass as to my confidence regarding Trump wiping the floor with every candidate except Sanders.
