in light of Bernie's health situation, my revised Democratic primary rankings:

1. Bernie Sanders
2. Liz Warren
3. The literal rotting corpse of Bernie Sanders, festering in the Oval Office
4. uhh Pete Buttigieg or something. what happened to Bernie's corpse is it not available

I heard thee corpse was stolen by grave robbers and is currently being held for ransom.

Likewise, though I'm pretty sure the mainstream media is making his recent health issue seem much worse than it actually is.

A Few Informed Thoughts From a Veteran Cardio Rehab Nurse on Bernie's Heart Attack
But, for those who do get quick care—as the Senator did—the difference matters a lot less. We now have the technology to re-open a blocked artery and, if done quickly enough, eliminate the lasting damage that used to result from heart attacks. The watchword of people in this business is "time is muscle" (heart muscle, that is). The sooner you can re-open the artery, the more heart function you save. Soon enough, as appears to have been the case here, and you save it all.

So, what does this mean for the Senator's campaign and fitness to be president? Frankly, not much at all. While I don't know all the details of what happened to Bernie, I know enough to say I would expect a return to full, unrestricted activity within two weeks after the event. So I have no worries about his ability to return quickly to the campaign trail.

Remember, those arteries had been narrowed for a long time. Even with narrowed arteries the Senator has been keeping up a pace that most younger people couldn't hope to match. Now, they are wide open and he's probably had no significant heart damage. We know from his high school track performances that he's genetically designed for endurance. Honestly, the people who should be most worried right now are the campaign staff who will have to keep up with him now that the arteries are fully open.

Besides, practically every president has had health problems, many of the during their time in office.

Indeed they have been. Basically they take one or two small snippets of a comment made off the cuff and run with it while also putting out doctored images (increased saturation on the cameras as well as putting false spots on his head to make him seem even older.

Correction: Primary selection, that of the Democrats. In the end, even that might not matter, depending on how easily voters can tag onto Trump's attacks against them.

I don't think so. I think a lot of Libertarians see his ineptitude on the campaign trail as a missed opportunity. He bombed a couple of interviews, like not knowing where Aleppo was and getting stumped by a question to name a foreign leader he admired.

I admittedly haven't kept up with the LP for a while, so I may be out of date if they have forgiven him recently -- but between Johnson's shitty campaigning and Feldman dropping dead, they are kind of short on candidates that I want anything to do with.

So who do you think are going to win the minor party nominations? Libertarian, Green, Reform, Constitution or anything that you can think of?

What do you think about the people going up against Trump in the Republican nomination, since that doesn't get a lot of coverage? What is your take away of Walsh, Weld, De La Fuente and the rest of the crew?

Still.....I would swap Johnson for Donnie.

TV and social media weren’t around back then. Both never would have been re-elected.

The heart attack was in September of 1955. It caused a left ventricular aneurysm and that led to a mild stroke in 1957.

I can imagine Trump getting very annoyed at having to campaign against some random Republicans rather than Biden or Warren. Especially since the Democratic primary is going to keep getting more press.
