So I have looked into the Impeachment scandal. This is what the Democrats are going to hang the Impeachment hat on?

All the transcripts show is the President coordinating with Ukraine on a criminal investigating. The fact it involves the former VP's cokehead son isn't really much of an impeachable offense.

The fact it involves the former VP's cokehead son isn't really much of an impeachable offense coercing the Ukrainian government to investigate the son of an outspoken critic and potential electoral opponent, as well as pushing them to help in undermining a report that stopped just short of claiming the President in question violated the law, with the veiled threat of cuts to aid.

Also interesting pattern from the Sanders camp that I've noticed:

When any other candidate surges, it's cuz the media is giving them a pass. Whereas Sanders earned it because the media hates him I guess.

Except the only major candidate that got a free pass from the media is Warren. Nice try though.

I think Harris is still the establishment and media favorite. Warren in my view is just not messing up so she is earning it.

You don't necessarily need to mess up to get bad press. Policy criticism should be a thing, but I haven't seen any on her in the Post or NYtimes in months.

Honestly to me, that's because she's hitting a sweet spot, you know? Bold enough, but workable.

I doubt every policy she released has been 100% perfect, and it should be the media's role to look into that, but instead they just give us endless puff pieces.

To be fair most of them aren't as wonky as her so wouldn't know as much.

I mean, she didn't write them. They were written by think tank and professor people, and she put her name on them. Surely the New York times can afford a professor to read, like, one of them, and tell us what's good and bad?

Politicians generally don't write their bills, she (to my knowledge) hasn't claimed she does, many were just bills produced by other senators, including one she didn't co-sponsor for a couple of years, until right before announcing it as her plan. There was an article about the people who do write them, possibly in Vox, that I can't find right now. here is an obviously biased, but apparently accurate piece about some of the borrowed bills.

Like I said before, her coverage as of a few months ago was mostly negative per 538.

There's nothing to substantiate the claim that she's getting a pass, you're just looking for a reason as to why this can happen but Sanders is still the perfect candidate.
