I don't mean they're actually based on real darwinism. They're Darwinian in that there is no morality or higher reasoning to them. It's just kill or be killed. It's a view of the world as an endless war for dominance and power

White people as individuals though do not all have privilege and telling a poor white guy that he has privilege, especially if you yourself are doing far better in life than he is, is beyond tone deaf.

Privilege doesn't mean you have to be doing better in every aspect than somebody who doesn't share that specific privilege. It means essentially that he would likely have better luck than a black person with the exact same factors otherwise at getting his life on track.

It’s more obvious in blue states that have a high number of nonwhites, and where the whites tend to be better off and more educated. It’s also manifested in more subte ways in the entertainment industry, particularly with how biracial actors/entertainers are often taken to represent their non-white race in diversity casting.

To be fair, biracial actors are often cast as non white because many look non white. A very white looking man with a black dad wouldn't be cast as black, but a man who looks like a light skinned black man would.

In the end, we can say that whites on average are more privileged than back or brown people, but I wouldn't say that goes for an individual level too
