Normally, I wouldn't comment on such matters of personal disputes of private citizens, but since she's openly spoken the matter to media, and it made news internationally, here's the discussion.

A vegan woman tried to sue her neighbours because they were causing too much noise and hosted too many BBQs. The woman claims that her neighbour host BBQs to spite her and all she can smell is fish and cigaretts. She claims that she can't enjoy her backyard.
Okay, firstly, a few questions, does she work overnight?

Because if she works overnight, I can understand about the noise of playing in their backyard. It doesn't give her any legal standing, but it's a discussion worth having. However, as she's a massage theoropist, it's very unlikely that she works overnight, (unless she's a happy endings massage theorpist, but that doesn't seem likely). Complaining about kids playing in the backyard? My goodness? She should switch houses with me. With all my neighbourhood's illegal overnight street parties (who'll turn violent if you try to do anything about it), day care centres, schools, and thugs who've failed to realise that driving like dead shits will not increase their penis size (and will turn violent if you try to do anything about it), she'd probably kiss her neighbours feet. Kids playing in the yard is noise pollution? Grow up sweetheart!

Her next complaint is that the smell of fish from the BBQs annoys her and she can't enjoy her yard, and that her neighbours do it to spite her? What the fudge? How many BBQs does anyone have in a single day? And they cook meat to spite her? What the fudge? Now as for the smell of cigaretts, fine, that is irritating, however, a backyard is one of the few places where can legally smoke. I hate second hand smoke as much as the next person, but do you honestly they took up smoking just out of spite? Really sweetheart?

I think this woman needs a reality check. Thank goodness the judge laughed her out of court. That wasn't good enough for her, so now she's going to the supreme court poor neighbours. What do you guys think?

This reminds me of another frivolous case in Bavaria, where a couple had been complaining about cow bells of all things:

Cowbells can continue ringing out on a Bavarian farm despite the neighbours' long-running complaints, a Munich court has ruled.

It was the latest setback for a couple from Holzkirchen, a peaceful market town, who first sued five years ago. But they plan to appeal again.

They argue that dairy farmer Regina Killer's cows keep them awake at night.

But a leading Bavarian politician, Ilse Aigner, said "the cow - with its bell - is part of our rural way of life".

The couple, who have not been named, also object to the bad smells of manure and the accompanying insects.
