But then on the electronic signboard it says there's a local train at 5:18 but it's 4 minutes late. The problem is, they're both listed as coming in on Track 1, and I was like wtf, which one is coming in first? Then a train pulls in at Track 1, I assume it was the late one, and it leaves. Then a minute later another train comes up at Track 2 and leaves. And then I was like, wait, where's the train? And then, after talking to another person waiting, I realize the one that pulled up on Track 1 was the express and they diverted the local train to Track 2. I felt so stupid. But luckily there was another train going to my station leaving at 5:27. I got on that one, so it wasn't that bad.

I was heading home with friends on a train and we were playing some console game, I really can't remember which but it had pretty quick turnaround time so we were rapidly passing the console back and forth when one of us was all 'shit, is this our station', and we all jumped off at the last moment only to find we'd jumped off two stations early, and it was the last train of the night.

Shit, that is a major bruh moment, how'd you guys get home? Was there a bus at the station or did you guys call for a ride or something?

Once. I was at work. It was winter and Actual work was scarce but there was still enough demand that they kept us on rather than laying us off for the winter.

So, during the slow times they had us split wood to keep the workshop warm to keep the heating bill down.

Well it's winter. It's cold. So we start a fire out by the lumber pile. One of my coworkers decides that the wood isn't catching on fire fast enough and chucks a bucket of diesel fuel on it.

BOOM. Scared the shit out of my boss who was two buildings away. Blew our firepit to hell, and got our can of diesel fuel confiscated by the mechanic.

The first is, I have a friend who bought a house a couple of years ago. He’s not married and has no immediate plans, so he rents out spare bedrooms to craigslist randos. There are a couple of moments from this guy- but the main one is he tried to get me to help move in a piano(he doesn’t play, none of his tenants play, but he wanted to learn). So we load it in my truck(I’m often ‘that one guy who has a pickup truck), take it to his house and... put it next to his other piano. There was another case where he bought a dog and tried to convince me to train it for him. The next time I went to his house, he’d gotten rid of the dog... and gotten four others. None of which were housebroken(he no longer has pets).
The second is, so I’m a technical tradesmen, and I do work for restaurants a lot. Now I speak Spanish, but my appearance is somewhere between ‘racially pure nordic’ and ‘vampiric’, so lots of people don’t guess that until I start speaking it. And anyways, at this one restaurant, the cook and his assistant are gossiping(in Spanish), and they say something like “you think you can get the stupid gringo to take your psycho ex, get her out of your hair?”, and I ignore it. Later the cook comes up and asks if I like Mexican señoritas, and I say “no, es la loca”. The look on his face, man.

Ohhhhh...so you're hungarian

No, although I do look quite ugro-Finnic despite a 100% Indo-European family history.

A year later a friend of mine called and claimed she killed herself, and we quickly organized a memorial service for her on the westside. Fifty people showed up and we set up a memorial for her with candles, photos and flowers in front of her house. Tell me why a month later I see her on Snapchat and when I text her, she says "I'm debating whether I should block you." This girl had someone tell us that she died and literally faked her own suicide. she's off in California somewhere now as far as I can tell, but we all felt pretty incredulous upon realizing we had a huge memorial service for someone who wasn't even dead

What a completely douchey thing to do! Lowest of the low, had a friend do the same (maybe they're dating out in Cali?) we are hoping he comes back to visit so we can ignore him completely (he is dead after all).

If she comes back, I'll just ask "does hell have paid vacations or something? We had your memorial like two years ago"

I've got another huge bruh moment guys. And it's on NS! So I was going through my user control panel, now I know I'm no prominent poster here, I occasionally post and mostly lurk around, but I just decided to see what was in it and stuff, when I found someone in my foes list. Naturally, I went to investigate, and I found, the guy had 19 posts, and most of them in F7. Bruh, I can't believe I was that petualant back then.

That's fucked up on so many levels.

I've read a couple of articles over the years about people doing that kind of thing.
A twisted variant is pretending you have cancer and then ask people for donations...

Here's a Bruh moment from yesterday. Yesterday I realized for the past few weeks I had the night light mode on my Chromebook. I figured this out because a friend told me, I can't believe that it took me that long to realize it. It's weird looking at my screen with it off but i'm getting used to it.

I've seen people do that. People have pretended to be homeless also. People who do that shit bring so much distrust in this world.

Isn't faking one's own death punishable by law?

I'm not sure it is, but if you're going to keep it up, you're bound to run into illegal activities, like tax evasion or something.

The cases cited that involve tax evasion, life insurance payments and not wanting to pay a student loan indeed carry legal consequences. But those seem to be because monetary reasons more than for pseudocide.

When I, a then-about-15 year old, had to explain to a woman in her late 30s with three kids why the U.S. could not simply "adopt" (her word) Canada into itself for its own benefit. She didn't get why Canada wouldn't want to be part of us and didn't see what consequences there could possibly be for trying to take them over.

Who is so dumb that they can't see why Canada wouldn't wanna join us? Just go look at the Detroit side of the Detroit river and then look at the Windsor side and there's the answer in a nutshell
