I could call you an anarcho-capitalist and it would make just about the same amount of sense that calling the Democrats communists. Any political scientist, and indeed any actual communist would laugh in your face if you told them the Dems were communist.

Just so we're on the same page, can you please define your view of:

Communist/Communism
Socialist/Socialism
Bolshevik/Bolshevism
Marxism
Marxism-Leninism

Your view of the political spectrum is so far from normal that I feel this is necessary.

As an actual Communist I can vouch for that. But seriously, I was asking how we'd survive after crossing the point of no return, not whether or nor climate change is a hoax. You tin hats are dragging the thread way off topic so can't you just torture the people on a thread actually debating climate change or better yet just start your own thread for deniers?

Who are the tin hats here?

Imo it's natural that a discussion on the effects of a global ecological collapse will eventually turn to the possible causes of that collapse and arguments as to what extent certain parties are to blame for those causes.

The main question of the topic's already been answered several times, and there's not much to discuss aside from everyone saying "yeah it'd really suck" with slight variations on how sucky and what variant of scattered, devolved society a post-collapse world would be.

COMMUNIST
"If we have food, he will eat. If we have air, he will breathe. If we have fuel, he will fly." - Becky Chambers, Record of a Spaceborn Few
"One does not need to be surprised then, when 26 years later the outrageous slogan is repeated, which we Marxists burned all bridges with: to “pick up” the banner of the bourgeoisie. - International Communist Party, Dialogue with Stalin.

ML, anarchism, co-operativism (known incorrectly as "Market Socialism"), Proudhonism, radical liberalism, utopianism, social democracy, national capitalism, Maoism, etc. are not communist tendencies. Read a book already.

there was this postpostapocalyptic anime (and the manga it's based on) i watched (and read) a few weeks back where two girls trek through a piece of earth so devoid of life they only see three other living beings (two humans at the end of their tether and a single fucking fish swimming fit to die) on their way to their destination
then they reach their destination in the middle of a winter storm see fucking desolation use up what remains of their supplies sleep and die cold and starving
ain't that fucked up shit
and the author passes it off as soothing calming fucking healing because power of friendship even though they've all been betrayed by previous generations of fucking fuckups who don't give a shit beyond being fucking #1 at some irrelevant fucking shit or other
but enough of that
point is why wish for life when you dun goofed and can't take shit back?
why wish for life for future generations when those future generations are doomed to failure to suffering to deaths premature and uncalled for? to the inevitable stemming from actions that were foreseen and could have been at the very least curtailed?

Resource exhaustion and climate change may completely destroy our modern society, but at least this cursed nation of consumerism, youth isolation and ridiculous class, race and gender roles might vanish. Think of it as a silver lining to a very dark cloud

Antityranicals and Surkiea II.

I just really don't want the thread to be entirely about whether or not climate change is real when the purpose was to discuss what happens after. I know it'd suck, I just wanted details on exactly how since I can't find any predictions short of everyone dies. While that is extremely likely, I really want to know how survivors would live for the following generations anyway regardless of the probability of extinction.

Also calling Rojava a marxist :lol2:

Fucking lol. The people pushing this agenda ARE Marxists, it's part of their plan to attack capitalism, this is pretty evident on how much they attack corporations for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Of course I don't expect some far left socialist like you to understand.

LMAO, calling a conservative anti-SJW Trump supporter a "far-left socialist". Did the John Birch Society attempt to astroturf NS or something?

I mean, if it was actually a global ecological collapse, we’d be screwed.

I saw an ecosystem hit natural limits, destabilize and initiate a mass die-off.

It was my fish tank, so I rescued the fish, dumped the tank water and started again. Earth doesn't have that option.

Six degrees warming will be unpleasant, and severely disrupt crop yields, at the same time as we reach new all-time population records every year.
Think Warsaw Ghetto politics and living standards, with plenty of scapegoating, mismanagement and large-scale violence. The downside of that growth curve will be steep and unattractive.

But, the cockroach, the Norway rat, and Homo Sapiens will survive in large numbers, being generalists, prolific breeders and a demonstrated ability to rapidly adapt to varied environments. No other species has plot protection, especially the ancient and specialized. We've exhausted most of the readily available metal ores and fossil fuels that built our industrialized world, but a Neolithic tech level should be sustainable almost indefinitely.

So we'd be unable to recycle metal from cars, electronics, etc. into tools and weaponry, correct?

Then why on earth has no respectable figure blown the whistle on this supposed "conspiracy"? I mean, maintaining the silence of 90% of the world's scientific community over a supposed "great hoax" would be virtually impossible unless they were somehow controlled by advanced mind-control technology from the future. And the scientific method does not make room for bias, because if a result is either not reproducible, consistent with well established theory, or verified by rigorous peer-review, then it's not science, simple as that.

I think we'll find that mind-control tech in Area 51, and it might be being used on the scientists.

If they had that, they’d just use it on everyone.
