Mexico itself doesn't make immigration to their country any easier. Why does the US have to have lax border controls just because the US has a bunch of crazy Liberals who have no respect for the US culture/traditions/history and just want rank globalist malarky?

Oh wait, I forgot that it's only an opinion. I'm definitely wrong and immigration is easy as hell. I'm just a whining liberal who thinks unnecessarily complicated processes are indeed overly complicated.

Im not saying its easy lol, im saying that its not a "fact" that republicans believe immigration is easy

most of us understand how hard immigration is because that exactly how we want it to be

The only reason why I'm not for open borders is the fact that our current welfare state allows people to vote themselves money. It is without a doubt true that the Democratic party has illegal immigrants voting, and this supports their policies of violating our rights. I'm totally into open borders, if only the people crossing weren't participating in taking my money through taxation. Decriminalize tax evasion, and I'll be perfectly fine with decriminalizing crossing the border.

Catholic Libertarian. Gov't has no authority, all authority is from God. God grants us free will, gov't should not infringe upon it. Legislating morality is wrong. Only exception is protecting rights to life, liberty, and property. Abortion is killing an infant, one of the few things gov't should prevent. Pro-Trump, he's been an effective weapon against real enemies of freedom: The Left, but I wish he were more for free trade, more against deficits. Unrestrained capitalism is a great thing; it does wonders for standards of living of everyone, especially the poor.

The line in the sand is not right vs left

its pessimist vs optimist and both of the sides are wrong

The world is indeed capable of extraordinary levels of cooperation and individualism at the same time but cant do one or the other

I doubt that they all don't vote... there's no way the Democrats would pass up a voting block like that. I imagine that for every illegal immigrant who pays taxes, there are ten who take the tax money of myself and that other immigrant.
