You're welcome, but it's not an election thread yet. We still have to wait a week or two to see if some improbable coalition somehow forms first.

You know something is wrong when the mid 30s are still considered part of The Kingdom of Italy. No rewards for guessing what I mean.

Well, technically speaking, it was still the Kingdom of Italy officially, realities of the time aside.

It wasn't a disorderly move, Salvini just saw that the polls had reversed and figured he could have a grand right coalition if he acted quickly enough, and the voters seem to be behind the idea.

And instead the government collapsed. Great job matteo, chaos and disorder in Italy again

No, he genuinely is, his recent actions prove it.

Salvini is awful, horrible, but he's better than Trump. Because he's not a deranged psychopathic person with a God complex(I.E. Trump and the King of the Jews comment which as someone who considers Christianity and Judaism close to my heart rubs me the wrong way majorly and anyone who says that to me is a psychopath unless they're Jesus.).

 Blah blah blah, Trump is evil because I said so, blah blah blah.

As negotiations begin tomorrow, it looks like there may not be an election after all as Di Maio is set to reach an agreement with the Democrats(PD) to form a new coalition government: http://www.rainews.it/dl/rainews/articoli/Governo-a-Palazzo-Chigi-incontro-Di-Maio-Zingaretti-Da-domani-consultazioni-al-Quirinale-1d330b78-a9c6-4e09-b15e-11dda6ccfc39.html

After hearing about this, Salvini is backtracking on breaking the coalition and is even offering Di Maio the premiership: https://diepresse.com/home/ausland/aussenpolitik/5679618/LegaChef-Salvini-entdeckt-seine-Liebe-zum-geschassten

Looks like now it has sniffed power, m5s is willing to do a deal with all that's wrong in Italian politics.

Sounds like La Lega just wants to end the problem of runaway asylum-seeking and illegal immigration, good for them, hope Italians vote them in as the largest party
Purgatio is an absolutist hereditary monarchy run as a one-party fascist dictatorship, which seized power in a sudden and abrupt coup d'état of 1987-1988, on an authoritarian eugenic and socially Darwinistic political philosophy and ideology, now ruled and dominated with a brutal iron fist under the watchful reign of Le Grand Roi Chalon-Arlay de la Fayette and La Grande Reine Geneviève de la Fayette (née Aumont) (i.e., the 'Founding Couple' or Le Couple Fondateur).

Not to govern they can't. This was what Salvini was gambling on, and it's failed; his popularity won't be quite as high when the next election comes along.
