Yeah, exactly.

In all seriousness, though, although I agree metric is mostly better than imperial, I have to say, I like Fahrenheit. 0 is at the lowest temperature a human is built to withstand, 100 is at the highest. That way, when I see 50, I know it’s between cold and hot, instead of having to look at 10-something and think “Yes, this is average temperature.” Not ever using the part of the scale that goes above 30 just feels wrong, doesn’t it?

Not even slightly.

My puppets are mostly to play as different types of nations and answer different issues; only one of them ever ventures onto the forum.

Not to me. I was brought up on Metric. If it approaches 30, I think: Oh, crap. I'm going to bake.

I know 37c is the average temperature of the human body, 38c is a fever and if the body temperature goes 40c or more, the person needs urgent medical attention. I know it for the same reason you know Fahrenheit but it doesn't make sense to me -- I was taught it.

I dunno, I for one can't trust the emotional stability of any oven that opts for 400F instead of 200C. Calm down.

The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

The most fundamental problem of politics is not the control of wickedness but the limitation of righteousness.

Wow, you really are a "glass half empty" person huh?

But wait until your twenties, you won't consider 30 to be old.

Yeah given that life expectancy in the West is creeping towards the eighties.
