Don't get me wrong, having kids isn't for everyone, and I believe that's best left to the individual to decide within reason (while not allowing inbreeding for example)... But come on... You wouldn't have a chance to make an argument for antinatalism if it wasn't for the natalists that did something very unselfishly... Because yes... Having kids as a whole is a major sacrifice from a purely material/economic point of view from the individual... But most parents I would wager do not see it as a sacrifice, but rather are delighted to have kids.

Well ultimately procreation leads to the creation of other humans, which need to be housed, clothed, and fed. This creates demand for housing, which in some countries results in the expansion of suburbia, which is bad for the human psychy and the environment.

The human needs to be fed. This means additional consumption of things like red meat and milk, which consume significant amounts of water to create and produce significant amounts of greenhouse gases, most notably methane.

The human needs to be clothed. This is not a problem if the clothes are knitted from organic fibres, but synthetic fibres end up everywhere from water to beer.

I shan't commence on the descriptions of the environmental issues regarding "disposable" nappies and all the plastic waste a single human generates.
