Communism doesn't really work on a large-scale area, but I just want to say that nearly every time a socialist nation failed it wasn't necessarily because it was socialist. Plenty of capitalist nations fail too.

It's a literal tragedy that Sankara was couped thanks to the French and US. Like, yeah, the guy did some fucky shit, but he was overall a massively positive influence on Burkina Faso.

What does Bolivia have to do with this?

Also, Chile was doing pretty alright before Pinochet came and messed things up.

Bolivia's currently Socialist and has been for a long while now, and relatively successfully at that.

Unless you were asking how Bolivia and Sankara are related, in which case, they're kinda not, except in the sense of how successful they were in implementing Socialism and/or Socialist ideas.

Nice.

The type of socialism I support doesn't really work on a nationwide scale. Scandinavia's alright. I don't know much about Bolivia.

Bolivia's... not necessarily in the best shape, but it's doing alright. HDI's been going up, poverty's been decreasing, the economy's been going up, and the Movement for Socialism party (which has held power since 2005 under a system of free elections) has by and large been fulfilling its promises to the people of Bolivia. It has its wayward problems like any country does, but it's undeniable that they're trying to make the best out of what they have.
