I'm not even a Trot or ML, and my opinion is that this is Very based.

The thing about the Tsar's Execution is that it was base on legitimate reasons. Feudalism, the "Great" war, and the aristocrat privilege of the family cause the killing of the family.
As for the children, I find it unfortunate.
The Peasants and opposition Proletariat were a enemy of war. You may say that they were just political dissidence, but all states in wars suppress those that are seen as a threat to it's survival. That's way America made the American Nazi Party illegal in ww2 , and it's also the reason why authoritarians states( and rebel groups) tend to do a annual Purge on party members.

The only reason the Peasants and part of the proletariat were the "enemy" was that the Bolsheviks dissolved their own government to justify purging their less-radical allies in the civil war.

Disagree, agree with the absurdity aspect but when people use that in place of arguments or thinking opponents are absurd-look at political twitter-it is more trouble than it's worth inherently, in my eyes.

I mean if it is to counter an argument then absolutely, but in this case it wasn't.

He also did a fair amount of pretty awesome things too. And on that note, lots of people we call heroes now had just as many skeltals in their closets.

It was a reaction to your statement. It didn't really need to prove anything, as you gave a statement and not an argument.Communal concils wrote:and your trying to ignore the topic.
Not at all.Communal concils wrote:Can you explain why my beliefs are "incorrect".
You want me to explain to you why "Ordering the Tsar's family executed, purging rival socialists, imprisoning and executing thousands of peasants and striking workers, founding the Cheka [...]" isn't "based"? I would dig out that gif again, but it's been used too many times in the past few pages.

I find it funny that you believe in western trot and ML propaganda. Homosexuality was legalize on accident. all the Bolsheviks did was discard the Tsarist penal code,Homosexuality was only a small part of the Penal code.
In the early 1920s, the Soviet government and scientific community took a great deal of interest in sexual research, sexual emancipation and homosexual emancipation. In January 1923, the Soviet Union sent delegates from the Commissariat of Health led by Commissar of Health Semashko to the German Institute for Sexual Research as well as to some international conferences on human sexuality between 1921 and 1930, where they expressed support for the legalisation of adult, private and consensual homosexual relations and the improvement of homosexual rights in all nations. In both 1923 and 1925, Dr. Grigorii Batkis, director of the Institute for Social Hygiene in Moscow, published a report, The Sexual Revolution in Russia, which stated that homosexuality was "perfectly natural" and should be legally and socially respected. In the Soviet Union itself, the 1920s saw developments in serious Soviet research on sexuality in general, sometimes in support of the progressive idea of homosexuality as a natural part of human sexuality, such as the work of Dr. Batkis prior to 1928.

almost everything in your comment is Garbage.
1. Yes, the people kill Monarchs. That is something that must happen. with the exception of the children, it is suppose to happen.
Maoist china dealt with the Qing Emperor differently, Emperor Puyi of the Qing Empire and Manchuria was forgiven by the Maoist.
However, Puyi already lost most of his power by the time the Communist take him.

2. Okay, He killed rival socialist, I don't care.
3. Context is Important. Russia was in a civil war, sabotage in their nation was a real thing. Lenin was almost assassinated one time. https://www.history.com/this-day-in-his ... lenin-shot
4. same argument as 3 .

I'm well aware of the context of it, but it's just amusing that you can seemingly read my mind to know what I believe.
But this goes some way towards discrediting what you just said:In the early 1920s, the Soviet government and scientific community took a great deal of interest in sexual research, sexual emancipation and homosexual emancipation.
