In any event, an attack from either side was unlikely to happen just after the war had ended; tankies gonna be tankies, thinks the USSR was invincible. Also, the idea that the Western Allies could (not to mention should) have attacked is also unrealistic.
I mean sure. The idea that the Allies should have attacked the USSR kinda ignores what literally everyone was feeling when the war had ended in Europe. And the Soviets knew they were in no position to try anything, so the idea they'd start anything would be moot as well.
