To be perfectly fair, him becoming a senator did not make his positions any more moderate (one could say he went from "gib universal single-payer healthcare" to "gib workers owning near half the stocks of large corporations" so uh, he kinda went the other way) so it's always possible he won't become moderate if he becomes elected.

Given our location in the First Island Chain, I feel very threatened that China is consolidating its geopolitical stance on things. They would probably force our hands to agree with them and complete the First Island Chain very soon. Having China on our doorstep and Duterte initiating friendships and ignoring WPS for China is quite disturbing.

Not a lot of people take political stances except for those at college, which means most don’t really care until someone says “Welcome to Philippines, Province of China” (actually happened) then they go ballistic. But other than that, politics is largely ignored from my perspective.

I've never tried that stuff. A couple of acquaintances developed mental health issues or dropped out of working when they got into it and my grip on reality is enough of an upside-down toehold as it is.

My personal experience with drugs was apathy and idleness for years until straight up psychosis followed by me putting the drugs down and going okay I need distractions from this crazy bullshit. Probably not a common route but losing my grip on reality made me more productive and so on.

I also got a bit liberated from social pressure from it. Hearing everyone you know roast you for days through disembodied voiced produced by some unknown means and talk about how their so sick of your shit they've conducted a gaslighting campaign of that magnitude eventually led to "fuck it, you guys are jerks anyway" which kind of persisted. My level of tolerance for people thinking ill of me shorted out.

Still wouldn't recommend. Eternally butthurt by some of the shit that happened and embarrassed and traumatized. Good insight into stuff though once you examine it critically. My shenanigans with gathering evidence to prove I was either insane or stumble across the bugs they'd put in my flat got pretty creative by the end before I concluded children and animals could not possibly be in on a conspiracy to ignore the voices while in my company in order to gaslight me, thus, I must be mad.

This then led to a brief period of twisted pleasure at being off my fucking rocker and having managed to hide it from everyone and inwardly giggling to myself wondering if I could keep it up. Dropping references and in jokes in to conversations with others and so on.

Thing is, knowing your mad is one thing, remembering it is another. A good shocking accusation or phrase or one coincidence too many or another plausible explanation for it all would send it tumbling away and then I was back to using stethoscope around my apartment trying to locate the physical location of the voices.

Eventually therapy and admitting it to professionals got me through it and now I'm On the whole "I literally don't have time to play lets get paranoid for 8 hours I have somewhere to be" train.

The uncertainty is the worst part. In now fully get why people go full deranged. I was happier believing in a full on conspjracy than wondering if it might be true. Losing your grip on reality is awful, even if that reality is nonsense. The exhausting transition from "I'm mad" to "maybe not maybe weve just successfully fucked with you haha" to "I'm not mad they're out to get me" and back again.

Would not recommend. Defo don't do drugs.
