I have yet to find a single person other than me who is actually a Marxist. There are a few who might be, but most are definitely not. And I study political science, probably one of the places you'd expect to find most of them.

I almost never argue with the intention of changing the mind of the person I'm talking to - I do it for any 3rd party that might bear witness, including people who might be sympathetic to my point of view.

Ever since the NEP, Marxism-Leninism stopped being about proletarian revolution, and became just another form of state capitalist modernization strategy. And that includes all the problems inherent in capitalism, including crisis

If that's the case, then there's no location where the effects of socialism can actually be tested and we therefore do not know that it's a problem with capitalism.
