What are you talking about, most people I'd consider socialist here are anarchistic or libertarian socialists.

Such is the nature of utopian intellectuals who are good at running a revolution, but not so much at making sure grocery stores reopen, people head back to work, and the country doesn't devolve into anarchy.

So if planned and prepared for correctly, and allowed to implement said things then there's no reason why the markets can't open and people denied useful work for as long as it takes to rebuild, repair and reorganise.

Not true, Russia was rapidly industrializing before WWI and the NEP got back to that level. Moreover, while gross output increased, per capita output remained largely unchanged until the 1950's, so standard of living was still abysmal.

I'm an anarchist, although I believe that we should only fight against the state in productive ways, and I'm not opposed to voting and trying to get democratic socialists elected because even though no one has the right to rule, material conditions are better under democratic socialism than right-wing capitalist governments.

That's the thing though, I'm not a tankie, I'm not even an ML but I got labelled as such on vaush's server because I said him saying fascists like Stalin was a bad take.
