Is America becoming a Fascist nation?

While I was browsing the internet earlier today, I came across a video on YouTube, and people in the comment section were saying that America is becoming a Fascist nation. What do you guys think? Is America becoming a Fascist nation?

They even claimed that President Donald Trump was a Fascist.

I personally do not think America is becoming a Fascist nation, but it certainly is changing.

You should probably include your opinion in your opening post, but as for my opinion, no, we are not becoming fascist. Trump is an asshole, but that is not the same thing.

It's simply not the case, although I wish it was. I'd want to position myself as official #2. It's too much public attention to be the dictator in charge. I want to be the most important that no one really knows about. Someone who can work from the shadows for the benefit of the new order, but has a relatively easy job if its primarily following orders or administrative in nature.

I think America is becoming more authoritarian but not fascist nor communist. The 1% are increasingly aware that their attempts to divide people based on race or gender aren't working as well as they used to and they're probably gonna start clamping down on freedom. Recently many in government have called for a "patriot act to combat white nationalism" within the same month ted Cruz pushed an anti antifa bill that would also affect peaceful left wing protesters. I think the government is attempting to silence all criticism of globalism and corporatism, labelling leftists as communists and all right wingers as fascists. This government is run by big money, not by ideology

Trump's ideology is akin to crooked presidents in Latin America or africa. It's all about him and he can do what he wants. I doubt he has any real intention of "making America great again"

Protectionism and xenophobia has increased in the United States, but the hallmarks of fascism: ultranationalism, dictatorship, militarism, jingoism, and autarky make it so the US has a long way to go before being appropriate for that classification. Elections are still legal and while do receive foreign interference, are as a whole open and honest. I see a tendency for people to label anything right-wing as fascist.
