I don't get why that's so hard to grasp.
It raises many questions. There's the issue with why, specifically, a (blood) sacrifice is required. What connection does forgiveness have to someone being killed? Pondering it, there's actually something quite grotesque about the idea that my forgiveness depends on the bloody and tortured sacrifice of another. And man's sinful nature would appear to be God's mistake, if God is the one that endowed us with free will, as Christians themselves like to point out.
