What I’m getting is that they were visiting the contested West Bank. Not that they were going to avoid visiting Israel. I’m sorry, but with Trump shitting all over Twitter regarding this, I am very skeptic of real intentions for a ban here.
What do you suppose they were going to do there except try and stir shit up?
I mean, ffs, the whole modus operandi of "The Squad" (I cringe every time they're called this) is stirring shit up.

I'm not going to get into the trap of explaining how Anti-zionism is Antisemitism in its most woke form. I'm in no mood for the so-called argument that follows.

It's not a trap. Antizionism=/=Antisemitism. Huge difference. Simple facts. And I'll leave it at that.

Last month Netanyahu had stated they would be allowed entry, even despite BDS support. Trump tweets it would be a show of weakness of Israel to let them in and magically now they have been denied entry? Come on.
Israeli media reported earlier on discussions of barring the freshman congresswomen due to their support for the anti-Israel BDS movement. Israeli law says those supporting boycotts of the country may be denied entry.
Waivers can be granted for diplomatic figures, however, Haaretz reported. And in July, Israel’s U.S. ambassador said the country would not bar U.S. lawmakers out of “respect” for Congress and Israel’s longtime “alliance” with the U.S. Trump expressed frustration about the decision last week, The Washington Post reported.
Netanyahu, though, also faced pressure from Democratic leaders and some U.S.-based Israel advocacy groups that were advising against barring the congresswomen, the Post reported.
The Jerusalem Post reported Thursday that Netanyahu met Wednesday with Deri, Foreign Minister Israel Katz, Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan, National Security Council leader Meir Ben-Shabbat, and Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to discuss the matter.

Trump's pressure played a role, but it's a bit more complicated than that. This gives a brief but gold overview of it.Israeli media reported earlier on discussions of barring the freshman congresswomen due to their support for the anti-Israel BDS movement. Israeli law says those supporting boycotts of the country may be denied entry.

Well, you still can't change the fact that antisemitism is inherently Mugabe-like.
There is a reason why I said that antisemitism is inherently Communist in nature.

In a few years, Trump won't be president any more. But there will still be Democrats in Congress. Doesn't seem wise to piss off the people you're going to have to deal with long-term to win favour with the guy who is strictly in power short-term.
