Aaaaaaand that's pretty much it. Neoliberalism is dead but not necessarily out of it, and Peronism got its groove back. The one thing making me sad is that Myriam Bregman, probably the best person in the Worker's Left Front, probably won't make it to Congress.

Has anybody made a determination on the real question gripping Argentina? Namely, are they white?

Consensus is that the fact that our artificial national culture, as designed and enforced by our elites, is so obsessed with maintaining that we are, in fact, a white country accidentally stuck in Latin America is just pure ideology. It seems to mostly exist as a way for our elites to pretend that the class struggles in our country are just some sort of natural racial conflict while also pretending that we're fundamentally homogenous. The best part is that this racial delusion is so deeply ingrained that we've learned to direct our American-like anti-black racism at argies who're just slightly more dark skinned than the self-proclaimed "white" ones. But because most of the people we call black (and denigrate for it) aren't actually of African descent, it's hilariously common for racist "white" argies to add this nifty little caveat: they call them "black of head".
