So I wanted to take a break from politics to discuss an issue more close to home and maybe less controversial (idk, this might actually start a fight) by talking about the subject of men who dye their hair. I myself have naturally dark brown hair, and often alternate between my natural hair color and dying my hair midnight black. I first dyed my hair at age 12 when I used hydrogen peroxide to go blonde for a few months, and first dyed my hair black at age 14. My hair is currently dark brown and has been since like January of this year, but in the next few days I'm going back to black once again.

While many men dye their hair not only blonde or black, but many other colors as well, it seems our culture only provides men with hair coloring products in the case of older gentlemen who are trying to hold back the grey. For younger men looking to actually change their hair color and not just add some highlights, we often have to go to the women's hair section and snatch up some Revlon (at least in my area it's that way. I have yet to see any dye products for men beyond the touch of grey shit being sold in any stores). So here's what I wanna know everybody. Do you agree or disagree with men changing their hair coloring? Do you engage in the practice? Do you think it's time for corporations to market hair color products akin to Revlon to men of all ages? And does it make sense for a man with dark brown hair to dye his hair black when it's already only a few shades from that anyways? Let me know your thoughts below

AFAIK dyeing hair is mostly done by celebrities, though I do know a guy or two who dye their hair blonde. IMO it's completely fine for men to do that...If they choose the right colours. When dyeing your hair, you should always take your skin colour into account. As for me, I keep my hair the natural black for now, though I'm not above changing my hair colour to something that stands out like blue or something in the future.

I really enjoy seeing ppl with bright, unnatural painted hair.
Most dye in the pharmacy are boring natural colours.
My reason for not dyeing my hair is it stains. When it rains or when you sweat, you tend to leak dye.
And after 2 weeks, your colour is not the hue you started with.

It can look good, but I do not wish to ever dye my hair more than highlights or maybe a short rainbow peace sign undercut. I knew a guy who dyed his hair at least monthly, rarely doing the same colour. Pink, Lavender, Grey, Puce, Orange, Tan, Purple, and darker pink.

My hair is naturally dark enough that to dye it I'd have to bleach it a lottttt and probably damage it, but that's really the only reason I'm hesitant, otherwise I'd probably be blond or platinum or blue or some shit rn lol

Also going back to get my roots re-done or that awkward phase if you're letting the coloring grow where they're coming in seems like kind of an obstacle, and having my eyebrows not match would be annoying to me even if no one else noticed, eventually I probably will, but only when I'm ready to commit to the great effort to do it well

It really depends on what color you're going for. Black can be done without the bleaching as can auburn red, but like blue or pink, you need to crack open that bottle of peroxide

My wife has pink hair, stay jelly.

Real talk though, she's dyed her hair so much and bleached it so much that it's thinning out. I'm weighing the pros and cons of an "I told you so" moment. On the one hand, I'd die for the woman. On the other though, I rarely get a chance to be right, and I did warn her. Marriage is hard.
