Well in the 80s and 90s the didn't accept homosexuality, didn't support gun control, didn't believe this climate change nonsense, didn't support universal healthcare and free college. It's good that the GOP has abandoned partially the GOPist creed and ideology that was, for its own value, garbage anyways. Trump is a refreshing appearence, because he destroys and levels their entire ideological field. Also the irony that it is now the once bible-trumping, moralist GOP that is now led by Donald Trump and dragged through the gutter does not cease to amaze me. It couldn have come any better.
