Scientists are literally the least trustworthy people in existence, up there with journalists and politicians and actors. They also occupy the other extreme but there is no middle ground with them.

If someone were in danger of starvation, then I would consider it much more understandable than someone who has the option not to eat meat but chooses to. Whether or not it's immoral would be a complicated subject that would require me to look at a lot of sutras.

I agree with this though, society needs to fast. We’d be so much better off without excessively eating.

Fair enough, I can respect that. And that last part is very respectable, honestly.

To be honest, I'm kind of suspicious of a lot of foods anymore because of that.

For me, the same reason I don’t like pumping anything into myself, it strikes me as artificial and dangerous. Who knows what is happening to my body as I eat my meal? My testosterone could be plummeting, I feel sick every time I eat KFC, perhaps it’s making me addicted to the food because it was designed to do just that? I don’t know.

You going to be a good soyboy.

And no it is unlikely to do that. Did you do fast before?

Nah, I haven’t fasted since last week unfortunately, but I was just throwing out ideas there rather than saying anything about my situation now (though I do feel sick whenever I eat KFC).

I did fast for 48-72 hours last time. Water + salt only. It did help.

As for the KFC, theres a number of indrigients in chicken (like Tryptophan) and certain fats used in cooking that can have such effects. Hormone would take much more time to work afaik.

I only fast on Wednesday till 3:00pm and then only a small meal before dinner, and on Friday I don’t eat until dinner (and no meat) unless I’m doing something strenuous, in which case I have something small. And on Sunday I don’t eat until Mass is over. I haven’t been doing that this week because I have grown lax and distracted with exams. I’m beginning to think other dietary problems are the cause of my sickness, like sugar addiction and sleep deprivation.

I also overate last Monday that I was vomiting at night with an uncomfortably full stomach causing me to eat very little on Tuesday.

Sugar addiction and sleep deprivation can be two major factors and are often underestimated. The first can be fixed by putting your self on a 48-72 hour water/sea salt fast which will reset your bloodsugar system and bring you into ketosis. You will have terrible headache though. From there you can work your way out with low carb foods. Eggs, meat, vegetables etc. No sweets or noodles.

Sleep schledule fixing is harder.

Considering that the most viable source of protein Junior can have is meat-based (cries in G6PD Deficiency) I'd hate to live in a world where eating meat is heresy. It would suck for me, sure, but for my 3-year-old? Screw that, he's eating meat and that's final.
