Shakespeare was playing his audience as many others in the theatre had done. Even the ancient greek theatre wasn't as "refined" as people think it is. Plays and the theatre have always been either useful agitprop or reinforcement of norms.

I have a problem with smackheads who walk around high and act obnoxiously, even illegally, to get drug money. Weebs and anime fans are obnoxious by default. Nothing quite like seeing a grown man with a waifu pillow walking down the street.

Talking about anime, almost every ideology has it's following of weebs that disgusts other members, so nobody should attack other ideologies on the basis that some of them are weebs. In the end, everyone has a few supporters they wish they didn't have.

A good example of such behavior would be the notorious zoot suits. While people were already pretty racist against Mexicans, and others in the southwest the youth gangs of Mexicans and blacks wearing outlandish clothing during the rationing of World War 2 pissed plenty of people off.

Well, most of the shakespeare plays since its audience would likely fling feces, and rotten food on you to the point many Londoners referred to those closest to the stage as "groundlings". As much as Elizabeth liked him she wouldn't have been caught dead going to the Globe.

Well sure, it was quite “lowbrow”. In the 1500s theater was considered crude and vulgar, and much of the subject matter was not that different from things like South Park today.
