I used to be more right wing, but I moved a bit towards the center. I believe that was probably just a psychological effect from seeing some disgusting alt-right content though.

As for me...during my 9 years of being on and off of NS, I was all over the place lol

Though when I got more active on NSG last year, I was more aggressive with my preaching of Islam. Kinda on the level of our old friend, Amin. Not as bad of course but kind of on that level before calming down, researching philosophy and logical fallacies, and being more committed to the faith really changed my debating style and conduct.

Actually, your political progression is an interesting topic in its own right. Could be a whole thread, but ehh, I only care about fellow RWDTers.

I started out center-right (typical Liberal voter) but moved... centre-left-hard-right? I don't know, I became more of a social democrat and Christian distributist while solidifying my social conservative views.

I wouldn't know where to place you on the political spectrum either. Maybe syncretic politics, which means you are not left or right.

True, but we are still way better than other social media sites. Especially Twitter and Facebook because we have mods that actually enforce the rules though the opinions of people, are of course, subjective towards mod rulings, still the forum is much better than others.

Also, NSG has a huge impact on my views. So debating does benefit me in a way though I can agree many refuse to change their minds.

I simply take a realistic stance on both politics and religion

For a forum, this is pretty good. The mods are a mixed bag though. Some of the mods are good, like Farnhamia. I question the impartiality of some of them though, and some can be very rude.

My political progression is weird... religious right to libertarian to fascist to communist to whatever I am now. What have I learned? It’s easy to demonize those you don’t agree with. But they’re people who you can talk to. They’re not always right, and their minds don’t always change, but if you make the effort to converse, it’s rare that they aren’t worth it.

I'd always thought of you as very moderate, reasonable center right with some christian democratic views. I was honestly surprised to read you're still in high school.

What is the point in having a small government? Also what industries should be nationalized?

Maybe not industries per se, but I would nationalize YouTube and Twitter.

Since Youtube hosts considerably much more stuff than just political content, you’re not going to get much public support outside of the well known TOS-breaking right-wingers for the nationalization of a major part of the entertainment industry, and you’d be nationalizing a whole content hosting site to “””protect””” a minority of a minority of content the site hosts to begin with. And even if you could somehow manage to get it nationalized, the law would likely require any political content posted to be objectively neutral and unbiased like PBS which would kill the the minority of content that you want to “””protect””” anyways since nothing about political Youtube as a whole is neutral or unbiased in the slightest.

That's a fair characterization. Apart from my economics (which are in themselves not very radical), I'm a run-of-the-mill Christian conservative. I'm pleased that I came across as older than I actually am.

From what I know, you come across as libertarian leaning center-right. Until, as said, communist or other serious threats show up. Then you get militant.
