In all pictures I have seen they flew the old Imperial Navy war flag.

But the Swastika was a rather common military symbol before the Nazis.
For example the Oklahoma Army National Guard (45th Infantry Division) used a swastika as its symbol before WWII.

As regards the relation between the Freikorps and the Nazis, i have Von der Goltz's memoirs in English. The oppinions he expresses are reactionary to death (he does quite openly state that he beat a small boy up for ridiculing the former Imperial Anthem). But he was not a nazi and most of his memoirs are actually favorable to the white russians - albeit on account of him considering them to be allied to the German aristocracy. In fact, he states that most of the troops of the iron division and freikopr early on were Social Democrats but they were replaced because they were not willing to stay in Latvia for long. Most of his rage is directed at the British, not the Russians or in fact the communist at all.

I don’t think Titoism is something that could be replicated somewhere else. The reason Tito was able to rule and implement his ideology was due to his charisma and his hero-status that he acquired from his time as a Partisan leader. It was an ideology that was quite specific to the people of Yugoslavia and was heavily dependent on Tito as an individual.

I mean, while my home country was definitely better off under Yugoslavia I certainly don’t regret its downfall either. It’s not a system to replicate.
