So, as the article says, two republican senators want Antifa declared a terrorist organization.

Personally, I couldn't be more happy about this. Finally taking action against these left-wing versions of the white supremacists is long overdue. While I'm just as anti-supremacist as the next guy, Antifa's not much better, given their blatant lack of respect for the police force, veterans, and anyone who isn't on the left.

I think that they mean that the group: Has a strange fascination with recreating the assassinations of socialist leaders, is known to wear shirts praising Pinochet's genocides of leftists, and have had violence break out in many of the places that they went. According to the New York Times, at an appearance at the "2018 Metropolitan Republican Club," they seem to have started a violent fight with counter-protesters (and apparently, this is backed up by 3 different camera sources). They also told a mayor that "his days were numbered, they're coming for him," which is very obviously a threat of political violence (though a threat nonetheless). There are more than a few examples that make the group's desire to have violence quite worrisome, at least to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Plus Gavin McInnes is a white supremacist and that alone should be enough to put him away for good and anyone who associates with him

Frankly, antifa is turning into a domestic terrorist organization. There is nothing political behind this. Whether you are conservative or liberal, hell even if you are anti-fascist or fascist, you can agree that antifa has gone too far too many times in the past, and has disrespected the keepers of the peace.

Labelling Antifa as domestic terrorists is not a good idea. Antifa is a loose movement, not an organization, and its application could be used to target anyone who professes to be an anti-Fascist. That said, if there are tangible organizations under the Antifa banner which attack civilians, I have no gripes inherently with them being labelled as domestic terrorists.
