He is authoritarian, but I don’t think he’s fascist because he’s slightly more left-leaning.

Anyway! I do agree that the seal of confession should be protected, of course. Not sure if it’s the topic of discussion, but on the related tangent of what should be protected in schools and whatnot, in private schools confession should be protected. For most people in the world, the Sacrament does not cause the issues which have brought about the sex abuse crisis. However, that is not to downplay the pain or suffering of those who have been abused by priests who have used the confessional as a weapon. May God grant to those victims peace and strength, and may He grant us good priests who are shepherds, guides, and fathers.

For those among us who are prayer-warriors, we should pray for good priests. The Devil hates when we pray for good shepherds of any kind, but especially priests.
