I am entirely unclear on UK electronic security or integration with non-ally systems, so I couldn't begin to speak on it.

when the cold war began they basically handed the russians a rolls royce jet engine and they put that bitch into what became the Mig-15.

I can think of many reasons to give an enemy technical information. Unfortunately, I can think of no reason to do so with a piece of mechanical or metallurgical engineering, as opposed to software or electronic engineering.

Of course, that was now 70 years ago.

Eh, they have changed a lot. Admittedly that part still annoys us to no end, but you cannot hold something against them forever.

They learned some when it was British pilots getting killed by Attlee being a dumbass.

Plus they gave us the tech for the Harrier.

Sell the Turkey ones to Greece. But we have lots of potential buyers lined up.

Singapore, Greece, Romania, Spain and Poland are all wanting to buy some.
Unfortunately our defense industry, after years of devastating cuts in the 90s until recently has a hard time keeping up with demand. Hopefully we can reopen some factories to help.

70 years of not mishandling intelligence.

If one strike knocks you out of the ball game, the US shouldn't be involved in intelligence at all.

What the British lack in sheer mass they more than make up for in tech, quality, and intelligence savvy. The US learned everything worth knowing about human intelligence from the British. We could still learn a thing or two about not destabilizing entire regions.

Sure. So we will not hold that one piece of epic dumbassery against you forever.
On the balance our cooperation is beneficial to both of us.

All these people still working off assumptions about the F-35 3 years old or older are a bit amusing.

I mean it did get a bunch of American and British pilots killed. Still we cannot stop our whole defense cooperation relationship over one historic mistake, as stupid as it was.

Good question. Although Greece spends some 2.5% of GDP on defense, plus the US does offer financing options for it.

A military mistake here and there is no reason to cut allies off at any rate, but what Turkey is doing is a threat to the entire program.
