I once was a member of an Islamic kik chat a few years back and while most people were alright, we had a few salafis join. One girl supported Al Nusra and another dude called for actually violence against Christians and jews. Unfortunately whenever an Islamic chat of any kind is created, the wahhabis are attracted to it like flies to a lamp

I look at it more like as a way to reclaim a word of hate so I can mess with those who use it. Like yeah I'm an infidel. If being able to think for myself and be an individual makes you one, then I'm infidel to the core. Doesn't change the fact you don't refer to people as infidels without some serious hate in your heart

Well I know it isn't necessarily a slur or insult, but that is merely the connotations surrounding it. Especially in recent times.
