Right. I forgot that phase five of Brexit was the disintegration of Europe.

Yes I too remember that day when the Brexiteers stood up and said "let's have no partnerships and no allies, we can take everyone out ourselves on our own, also let's invade France and artillery-fire opium at the Chinese again, pip pip Rule Britannia".

How foolish they look now. You got em, well done.

To be fair I think some Brexiteers would actually want that.

The Empire does seem to be a consistent talking point...
Abolitionism in the North has leagued itself with Radical Democracy, and so the Slave Power was forced to ally itself with the Money Power; that is the great fact of the age.

If you want to be vassals of a superstate, I know a former colony that could give you the freedom of service.

I would not be opposed. But that’s just for my own country, because our current governmental fuckery is…well, fuckery. For Britain…hmm. I don’t know.

We're all very friendly here, and no doubt happy to help occasionally; but please stop derailing the thread by asking for travel advice. I suggest that you ask people to TG you with advice rather than clogging up the thread any further.

It'd be nice if there were a holiday/vacation megathread where things like that could be discussed.

Personally i'm all giddy and excited because i can't wait for the mind bending excuses his supporters are going to give when he goes to Brussels and asks for another extension.

I must say that British politics has turned into a carnival-like fever dream. There are no boundaries for lunacy. No boundaries for melodrama. No boundaries for crisis. If Boris Johnson gets the key to Downing Street 10, I am going to be quite worried over how he will handle his nation's descendent into further division (The Left will become much more persistent and aggressive towards the Right as a result of Boris's unscrupulousness) and a potential economic recession.

But on thing that the UK needs to be happy over, is that now they are not alone. The US is at the same level as them! Just much more infantilized.

Watching the live updates on BBC from the bar in Glasgow airport. One pint in already and the announcement isn't for a wee while yet.
Already had two discussions with fellow patrons about what this means and independence MK2. Did manage to convince them that Indy 2.0 is silly, especially at the current time.

Or even better: why invoke anyone? You could've simply turned back from the abyss, Britain. Revoked Article 50, and boom. But noooooo, you wanted complete ruin.
