They made a smart move by taking a very clear stance.

One side's pushing for no deal, and the main opposition still can't figure out what exactly they're pushing for, which leaves people with very few options.
It makes sense to take a firm stance on the opposite side under those circumstances.

It doesn't matter whether you are leave or remain, they have left an open goal for labour. The political strategy is rubbish, it makes no sense to state you will cancel a public vote without another public vote. Labour will be thinking thank God we can look reasonable, Tories will love the implications for the leave voting south west one of the main areas Tories and lib dems fight over with little attention from anybody else. It's batshit stupid.

I would have been horrified if Boris had come out and said we'll leave with no deal in July, no efforts for a deal just leave. Why? It's the reverse of what the lib dems have just done. But thats not hat Boris has done, he has pushed preferring a deal moved situations to try and make it look like he is not the one that is pushing no deal happening. The Lib dems have just thrown their brains out the window and they can say goodbye to overtaking Labour as the second party now in the next election.

And if we leave the battlefield of brexit who do you think I a conservative party member would really would rather not have as PM? Jezza or Jo? Jezza is far more likely than before the lib dems conference started now.

Yeah I can still hear them too, so I don't know how true the claim is, but supposedly the age that it happens does tend to vary.

I just stopped being able to hear the various local cat- and youth-repellers. Life is so much quieter now.

There really doesn't seem to be a hard-and-fast cut-off-point on when people can hear those things.

Making Boris Johnson PM is looking like the biggest political own goal I've ever seen. If he is forced into resignation as the biggest failure of a PM in history, that is not going to do much for Tory electoral chances.

Lib Dem acquaintances from social media are being very salty about Lee and tinfoil-muttering about a shadow LGBT group of "tame gays" being formed and invited to discussions rather than the official organisation. Conferences are kind of hilarious. I forgot how fake the public displays of unity were and how swivel-eyed people get when they're forced into a building with rival factions.

FT: UK accused of ‘misleading’ over no-deal Brexit ports disruption

So it seems the government is bullshitting again about the possible effects of No Deal on ports traffic. Or rather, intending to turn away most vehicles for compliance reasons to create the impression of low impact.

As public votes go, a general election trumps an advisory referendum held two parliaments ago any day of the week. If the Lib Dems are elected on a platform of revoking Article 50, that will constitute a clear mandate to do so. Nobody who wants to leave the EU is ever going to vote for the Lib Dems anyway, so it's in their interest to be completely unambiguous.

I uneagerly anticipate the practically inevitable conspiracy theories, in the event that the Supreme Court decide that Boris Johnson's advice to the queen was misleading and the prorogation was aimed at preventing Parliament scrutinising the government properly.

Here's the thing. I have read your posts. I have not seen any explanation for how pointing out that Boris, JRM and Redwood, along with their donors, stand to personally profit from No Deal is cherry picking. Just repeated assertions that it is with no elaboration. Assertions are not evidence, and claims made without evidence can be dismissed just as easily.

In short: Shit or get off the pot.
